Finance Senator Michael Freytag (CDU) is in favour of the HSH Nordbank reducing its international activities. The ailing bank had come under criticism after it became known that a large number of its firms operate from tax havens abroad.

Now suing Hamburg police: Euthanasia activist Roger Kusch (photo:www.wikipedia.de)
Infamous euthanasia assistant Dr. Roger Kusch is suing Hamburg police for barring him from assisting future suicides. The ban was made by police after a search of Kusch's apartment and office on November 27.

Disorderly House Affair in Hamburg-Wandsbek
On January 5, the Wandsbek district assembly will come together for an extraordinary meeting in order to discuss the controversal removal of a disordely house. Especially the SPD critisized the removal. The Linke (Left) accused them on bigotry and double moral standards. Finally the SPD and the Greens legalized prostitution.

Harbor City is Hamburg's ambitious and futuristic construction
project. The plan - parks, apartments, office buildings, the
Elbphilharmonie and the HarborCity University located in close
proximity. It has taken some time to plan the University building and
raising funds to cover construction costs of about 66 mill.

Vocational training record in Hamburg
Hamburg companies have offered a record number of vocational trainings this year. Until the end of November, 12.933 young people started an apprenticeship. This is an increase by 5.5 percent compared to last year and the highest number since 1990.
