The German-Arabian Medical Association DAAE, which was founded in Hamburg in 2008, held its first international congress in Hammamet (Tunisia) from December 11 to 13. Professor Dr. Christian Jürgens, Medical Director of the internationally appreciated Emergency Hospital Hamburg Boberg and Honorary President of the DAAE, as well as Professor Dr. Nicolas Abou Tara, Adviser of Hamburg's Ministry of Social and Family Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection regarding cooperation with Arabian countries, thanked the SOTCOT (Tunisian Association of Orthopedic Surgeaons and Traumatology) for the organisation of the event.
The congress was attended by international surgeons and orthopedics such as Professor Dr. Khaled M. Emara from the Ains Shams University Hospital in Cairo and Kiyoshi Hasegawa, Vice Director of the Yao Tokushukai General Hospital in Osaka. In short, the outcome of the congress was that the traumata managing in Germany was exemplary. The Tunisian and French participants gave a final speech calling for a better and more scientific training of orthopedists. Meanwhile, the German doctors were inspired by the Tunisian dissertations based on follow-up examinations. Moreover, they appreciated the opportunity for cultural exchange with their Arabian colleagues and the cultural programme organized excellently by DAAE-President Dr. Noureddine Bahri.

construction of a thermal terrace by seizing a tree. With this act, they hope to wreck the whole coal power station project. Vattenfall has announced that they will cut down the trees in January, including the one that has
been seized by the opponents of the plant. Critics believe the protest action may not succeed in preventing the building of the coal power plant. Yet after a long
time passed without such forms of protest, seizings are apparently very timely again, judging by
the example of Hamburg´s student protests.
