AISiH – Board Elected
The newly founded The American International Society in Hamburg has elected its Board following the founding meeting with 40 attendees on Wednesday, Sept 3. The president of the AISiH is Mr. Abel, whom many will know from his presidency at the American Club of Hamburg and his other activities in the American community in Hamburg. The AISiH is a club that offers a cosmopolitan environment with a focus on America and membership is open to people from all nationalities with an interest in America.

The City of Hamburg to Honor Hollywood-Star Eric Braeden
On the
initiative of the Hamburg Marketing GmbH, German-born actor Eric Braeden will
visit the Northern metropolis from September, 11th to September, 20th
2008. For his longstanding commitment to strengthen the transatlantic
relationship between Germany and the United States, he will be honored by the
City of Hamburg with an inscription in the visitors´ “Golden Book” of the City
on September, 12th 2008.

This week, fifteen former Hamburg citizens who fled the city after the Nazi`s rise to power revisited Hamburg for the first time after the war. Following an invitation by the Senate, they are spending a week here to rediscover their old home town.
