WFC Welcomes Representatives from the US

The World Future Council (WFC) has invited representatives from the major American energy suppliers to Germany. The aim of the one week round-trip, which will cover 15 events running from June 9 to June 13, is to present and promote new technologies, market development and solar energy technology. The American guests, who will be representing companies such as Duke Energy Corporation and Pacific Gas & Electric, will visit a number of different locations, including the Solar Park in Freiburg and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems. The Solar Electric Power Association and the Northwest Solar Center of Washington State University are among those behind this event.

He is a reknowned master of public diplomacy - Teunis Halff, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as the recent "Queen's Days" illustrated, being an impressive exhibition of the cultural and economic power of his country. This is the reason why some may have been surprised that he hosted a Carribean night this year.

The fact that Hamburg not only has foreign guests and business travellers, but also a very active international community residing here, is well known to most citizens. What is probably less known is that in the hinterland of Hamburg a strong international presence may also be found. An example of this is the Canadian Weeks in Barmstedt.
