O.W. Link Photo Exhibition in Hamburg The Hamburg Museum der Arbeit presents an exhibition with photos by Ogle Winston Link. Link, who died in 2001, was a photographer from New York who captured the fascination of steam engines in pictures. The photos exhibited do not only portray the powerful engines on rails all across the United States, but also the technology and the manpower. In addition to the exhibition, the museum also offers additional events, two of which will take place in June. On the 10th, steam engine workers from Hamburg will talk about their work on the last steam trains, and on the 23rd Dr. Rainer Mertens will talk about the history of the “Adler” locomotive. The exhibition itself runs until June 29. |
