The BossHoss live in concert
On the December 6 the cowboys from Berlin will perform their "Shake & Shout" tour 2008 in Hamburg at the Alsterdorfer Sporthalle.
The Bosshoss have been in the charts for seven months. In March their current album "Stallion Battalion" received gold. It is worth visititing a concert of The BossHoss. Youl will enjoy seven cowboys from Berlin on the stage.

Just for the pasties
One of the main reasons people visit British Day, the annual cultural charity event for native English speakers and anglophiles is the British food. While the British are not exactly famous for their cuisine throughout the rest of Europe there are some specialties people do enjoy very much. Some even came to the event at the Hamburg Polo Club just for the food.

What is a "Rundstueck warm"?
This year's British Day, the annual cultural charity event for native English speakers and anglophiles in Klein Flottbek, featured a lot of talk and much of it in English. If you could not understand all of it, there were enough educational institutions around to help you out. However, to win an English evening class you needed to know what a "Rundstueck warm" is, since this was the answer to one of the questions on the quiz arranged by the English school "Tandem Hamburg".

The
Hamburger Stadtpark Revival will take place this weekend. Beautiful vintage cars
will be exhibited in a fantastic setting on Saturday, 6.September,2008. About
20,000 visitors will pass an expert opinion about the historic cars and
motorcycles which will be around the Saarlandstraße. As in the years before there
will be a Stadtpark race. The Revival circuit has a length of 1.7km. The Revival
circuit will start at the Saarlandstraße to the Jahnringspitzkehre back to the
Saarlandstraße and from there on to the Südring and to the City Hall Bridge and
back to the start. This unique and exemplary hedged road route provides all
levels and a lot of varieties for the actors. The event will start at 8.30 a.m.
and single tickets cost 10€ and family tickets (2 adults and 3 children under
the age of 15) cost 15€.

Have you ever played "welly wanging"?
You could have done so at British Day . The annual charity event was a success for almost everybody who participated. Native English speakers and anglophiles came for British food and entertainment. Be it the visitors, exhibitors or organizers, all enjoyed the sunny weekend at the Hamburg Polo Club. The Hamburg Express now takes a look back at some of the clubs and their British Day experience, including a sport that could only have been invented by the British.
