Since
its discovery, HIV has caused many deaths and no cure has been
found, yet. Even though medication has been developed to treat the
disease, the diagnosis HIV positive is still a death sentence. For
this reason, the City of Hamburg will present first results for a new
project at the World AIDS Day on December 1.

Celebrities sell teddy bears
For the 13th time, prominents sell teddy bears during the Advent season. The collected money inures to the benefit of the "Hamburg Leuchtfeuer"-hospice. Yesterday numerous VIPs bandied the bears about the people for atleast 6 €. Among them were Hamburg’s 2nd mayoress, Christa Goetsch, Mareike Carrière, moderator Ulf Ansorge, Dagmar Berghoff, Wilhelm Wieben and bishop, Maria Jepsen. Until December, 18th, they are sold at the Central Station, in many chemists and in the branches of the Sparda-Bank.

Airport Plaza: Shopping in an new ambiance
The Hamburg airport completed the 350 million euro project "Ham 21". The new airport plaza impresses with its modern architecture shopping possibilities and catering offers. On November 20 and 30 from 10 am to 6 pm visitors can have look at the new airport attraction.
