Airbus assembles planes in China

The Airbus Factory in Finkenwerder has got a twin. Yesterday, the first assembly factory outside Europe was opened in Tianjin near Bejing. "The opening is a historical moment for Airbus and the aircraft industry", said Thomas Enders, head of Airbus. The A 320 will be built in China. After the USA China is the most important aircraft market world wide. Chinese airlines have about 351 Airbus planes in use. Another 400 have been ordered.
