Federal states to join in economic rescue package

The federal government is calling the federal states to account. Germany is planning a 500 billion euros rescue package. The package shall stabilise the financial market and pull struggling financial institutes back into safety. The federal states shall now carry 35 percent of the load. While Berlin and Bavaria accept the burden others remain critical.
