New upheaval about Elbphilharmonie

Mayor Ole von Beust already knew about the impending cost explosion at the Elbphilharmonie in July, a senate answer now admits. However, it was not until mid-September that he dismissed the head of the realisation company, Hartmut Wegener and set up a body of experts. Construction firms meanwhile said that it will be difficult to keep the opening date in the fall of 2011 if the upheaval continues.
