The German-Turkish friendship is quite young, but watching the company of Turkish and Hamburger members of public life at the national holiday of Turkey on October 29, it seems as it would have lasted for a very long time. Among the 500 guests of Consul General Mehmet Dönmez at the Hypovereinsbank in Alter Wall were also his two forerunners, who also did a lot of efforts for the integration of Turkish people into Hamburg's society. With Hala El Ghannam, Consul General of Egypt, there was also the newest member of the Consular Corps.
