Partnership with Tanzania

According to Hamburger Abendblatt reports, Hamburg plans the first partnership with an African city. Adam O. Kimbisa,  mayor of Dar es Salaam, is visiting Hamburg meeting politicians and representatives from the sector of the economy.On the occasion of this visit, Hamburg´s deputy mayor Christa Goetsch pointed out that she will probably travel to Tanzania in June 2009 for the first time signing a new memorandum to promote the exchange between Hamburg and Tanzania. According to Goetsch, the new partnership might already be possible in 2010.
