50,000 Hamburgers gathered at St Pauli’s Heiligengeistfeld ‘Fan Festival’ for a public viewing extravaganza that many feared would end in tension on Wednesday evening. But the heavy police presence was hardly needed as Turkish and German fans demonstrated good sportsmanship and camaraderie throughout.
