"China Time" festival
© CHINA TIME Hamburg 2008
Starting from September 12th, the "China Time" event will be in town for two weeks. Planned two years ago by the Hamburg Senate, the festival is intended to bring China closer to the local community. It will include a Chinese market, which will be located on Rathausmarkt, due to construction works at Jungfernstieg. Another attraction is the seven-meter copper-dragon, which will impress the crowd at the interior Alster. The "China Time" festival will be accompanied by the economic conference "The Hamburg Summit: China meets Europe", held by the Hamburg chamber of commerce. It will discuss environmental and other issues, starting on September 10th.
