Between August 15 and August 24, the German Climate Camp will take place for the very first time – and it will be held here in Hamburg. Other countries like England, the US and Sweden already have Climate Camp events, with the campers often engaging in protest activities such as the blocking of power plants in England. The Climate Camp shares the camp site in Hamburg Lurup with the Anti-Racist Camp. The left wing climate activists, anti-racists as well as emigrant and fugitive groups, all want to call attention to problems concerning migration and climate politics with workshops and demonstrations.
