Attack on District Office Nord

Over a week ago, the first attacks on employees and their property of the Hamburg Aliens Department were reported. On Wednesday, August 20, another attack occurred, this time against the District Office Nord. According to reports in the daily papers Hamburger Abendblatt and Hamburger Morgenpost, 30 persons wearing masks threw in windows and destroyed the interior of the Aliens Department in the District Office. Reportedly, two people were lightly injured. This new disturbance caused Senator of the Interior Christoph Ahlhaus to sharply condemn the attack and once again call upon the participants of the climate and anti racism camps, taking place in Hamburg at the moment, to publicly distance themselves from the attackers. He further ordered police to increase its presence near the camp site, each District Office and at the Hamburg Airport.
